TREATING YOU WELL
Hi there my name is Nicki Miller and I'm a homeopath working in Chester.
People have come to me from Chester, North Wales, Wirral and Cheshire.
I can also offer Skype consultations if required.
I am knowledgeable, kind and sympathetic, yet hugely practical and approachable.
My core aim is to make sense of an often bewildering array of symptoms, and to offer
compassionate yet practical advice and support.
My role as a homeopath is that of a catalyst for my clients' own healing processes,
guiding them as they connect with the deeper physical mental or emotional issues
causing their symptoms.
What drives me is a deep desire to see people's health improve through homeopathy.
It is so fulfilling and exciting to be able to use an effective medicine that is natural, simple,
safe and gentle and with no side-effects.
WHO AM I?
Together with my husband and three young children I moved from Essex to the North West over
20 years ago, and have come to really love the area – and particularly enjoy Chester as a place
to live and work.
I graduated from Cambridge University in the mid 1980's and worked as a Veterinary Surgeon for 30 years.
It was hugely fulfilling and I had very happy times treating animals and getting to know their owners.
However I was drawn more and more to alternative healing practices in the increasing awareness
that this was the way to effect long-lasting and permanent effects with minimal suppression.
I had always used simple homeopathic remedies for myself and family with great results.
As time went on I was compelled to study the subject in far greater depth so that I could
work as a homeopath.
In 2011 I enrolled with the North West College of Homeopathy in Manchester,
and spent 4 years studying Classical Homeopathy.
Subsequent to that I have studied many different facets of Homeopathy with world-class teachers and my education is ongoing.
Now I treat people rather than animals - but know that all those years as a vet taught me many skills which are so important in my current work.

HOLISTIC, NOT SYMPTOM-BASED
Symptoms are the body's way of expressing imbalance at a deeper level.
Allopathic medicine treats at symptom level whereas Homeopaths understand that in order to treat holistically
we need to look at the body as a whole. Mental, Emotional and Physical symptoms are connected and
relevant to one another.
It is helpful to consider what was going on in your life around the onset of any chronic condition since life events
can have a huge impact on your level of health.
This is the true meaning of holism - where we look at the entire picture.
One of the most rewarding parts of my homeopathic practice is to witness with you your symptoms on all levels.
In so doing it helps me to make sense of what your body needs to express and how you experience your
dis-ease. To gain a deeper understanding of the patterns and sensations that thread through your body
and mind, informing who you are as an individual, and how that translates into your symptoms.
Often people can find the consultation itself deeply healing as those insights are made.
COMPASSION, EMPATHY, SKILL, CONNECTION
My role as your homeopath is to guide you in connecting with your inner intelligence,
to listen deeply to what you have to say, and to observe the physical, mental and emotional patterns that emerge.
I do this by applying the rigorous scientific principles on which homoeopathy is based, together with my
thorough understanding of health and disease, and my ability to connect and intuit at a deep level,
a capability that I developed and refined in my 30 years as a Veterinary Surgeon.
INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED TREATMENT
Following our consultation, I draw all of the information together into a treatment tailored to you
and your specific needs.
In some cases, the healing process may already be underway as a direct result of the consultation.
The treatment can, as appropriate and as desired, be taken in conjunction with allopathic medicine.
Indeed many people will turn to homeopathy to support them though the side-effects of often gruelling courses
of medicine such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

ABOUT HOMEOPATHY
WIDELY USED
Used in its current form for over 200 years, homeopathy is a system of medicine which is tailored specifically to the individual patient with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing. Safe, simple, natural and suitable for patients of all ages, from babies to the elderly, the WHO estimates that homeopathy is used by 500 million people worldwide, making it the second most widely-used system of medicine in the world.
LIKE WITH LIKE
Homeopathy was developed by German physician Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843), who wanted to treat his patients with a system that would eliminate the damaging side-effects associated with more conventional medical treatments. Through exacting scientific experimentation on the ‘like with like’ principle, he discovered that a substance that causes symptoms when taken in large doses, can be used to treat those symptoms when diluted – and the more it is diluted, the more effective the treatment!

Today, we have well over 5000 homeopathic remedies to choose from, all of which are prepared by specialist pharmacies using natural mineral, animal and plant essences, using processes that include many different forms and levels of dilution, and agitation by succussion.

The majority of the people I see visit me at home in Chester. However I am also happy to consult via Skype, FaceTime or Facebook messenger, if getting to me is an issue.

Consultations are highly individualised, so it can take some
time to gather all the information required to select the correct remedy for you.
During this time we will go through a complete picture of all aspects of your health and current symptoms.
Initial consultations generally take up to 90 minutes.
(Do allow 2 hours so that we have plenty of time.)
Follow-ups, at approximately 4-6 week intervals as required, can be expected to last from 45 to 60 minutes.
