Conventional medicine often focuses primarily on the diagnosis and treatment of individual symptoms or disease processes.

Homeopathy approaches health from a different perspective. Rather than looking at each symptom in isolation, we are interested in the person as a whole and in understanding how the different aspects of their health fit together.

A holistic approach recognises that our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing are intimately connected. Symptoms do not exist independently of the person experiencing them; they arise within the context of a particular life, constitution, history and way of responding to the world.

For this reason, a homeopathic consultation is spacious and in-depth. Together, we will build a detailed picture of your health — not only exploring the symptoms that have brought you to see me, but also your general health, temperament, sensitivities, patterns and any significant life experiences or events that may have affected your wellbeing.

I am particularly interested in how you experience what is happening to you. Two people may arrive with the same medical diagnosis and yet experience their illness in entirely different ways. The particular sensations, patterns, emotions and responses that accompany your symptoms help me to understand what is individual and characteristic about your case.

As the consultation unfolds, we begin to see the threads that connect different aspects of your physical and emotional life. Symptoms that may initially appear unrelated can sometimes form part of a much wider pattern. My role is to listen carefully to that pattern and to understand what your body and mind are expressing through your particular experience of dis-ease.

It is this deeper understanding — of you rather than simply your diagnosis — that informs the choice of homeopathic remedy.

I find that online consultations work extremely well for homeopathy and allow us to speak in depth from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Once we have spoken and arranged a mutually convenient appointment, I will send you a Zoom link shortly before our session.

You simply need a quiet, private space where you can talk freely and where we are unlikely to be interrupted.

Our time together is an opportunity to tell your story in your own way. There is no need to know beforehand what might be relevant. Part of my work is to listen, ask questions and gradually draw together the different strands of your experience until a clearer picture of you, your health and the way in which you experience your symptoms begins to emerge.
